Euflexxa is an ultra-high pure form of hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a naturally occurring substance found in the fluid that surrounds joints such as the knee. Euflexxa is one of the first bioengineered HA products approved for use in osteoarthritis of the knee. Unlike all the other HA products currently available, Euflexxa doesn't contain any animal proteins. So the chance that Euflexxa will cause an allergic reaction is eliminated. Treatment with Euflexxa consists with one injection a week for three weeks.
