Synvisc is indicated for treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee which has failed to respond to simple analgesics such as acetaminophen. It is a simple drug free treatment that may help reduce knee pain for up to 6 months. Synvisc contains Hylan polymers (hylan A and hylan B).
